The Linguistics Library specialises in translating, interpreting, applied media sciences and applied linguistics for business and education.

Resources
6000 volumes, 60 journals on subscription, various electronic media.

Workstations
There are 34 network connections and 12 work stations for catalogue research available on the premises.

Lending
The library resources are freely accessible for staff and students of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences Winterthur (ZHW) and for people with a special interest in linguistics. A large number of items can be lent out. Journals are for reference only.
Every lending must be registered with the library staff. A free NEBIS user ID card is available via » Internet application, at the issue desk or at any other NEBIS alliance libraries.

Returning loans
The loan period is normally limited to 28 days and may be extended by a further 56 days, provided the book has not been requested by another user. Items which are not returned in time will be recalled.
The first recall is free of charge; the first reminder (after 10 days) costs CHF 10.--, the second reminder an additional CHF 10.--, and the third reminder an additional CHF 15.-- per item.
