Master’s degree programmes
There are two different types of Master’s degrees:
- Master’s degrees taken as part of a student’s basic education, following the Bachelor’s degree
- Executive Master’s degree and/or MAS Master of Advanced Studies following a continuing education course
Master’s as part of basic education
The Master’s degree programme is a graduate programme providing
specialist studies in the student’s original study subject
or offering additional qualifications in a related area of study.
The programme leads to a Master’s degree and the aim is further professionals qualification.
The requirement for acceptance onto a Master’s degree programme
is a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification). A Master’s
degree programme normally lasts two years. At least 60 ECTS credits
must be acquired per year, and the total number of ECTS credits
required is 120.
Master’s degree programmes will be offered at the ZHW from 2008
(in Architecture from 2005/6).
Executive Master’s / Master of Advanced Studies
(continuing education)
These qualifications are awarded only
for
postgraduate degree programmes
(continuing education).
