Fees / Scholarships
- Registration fee for studies at a university of applied sciences (once only) CHF 50.-
- Semester tuition CHF 500.-
- Immatriculation fee CHF 50.- (levied once only, if commencement of studies is postponed)
- Examination fee for final exam CHF 250.-
- Optional courses per number of lessons per week in each semester: approximately CHF 50.-
(e.g. a course with two lessons per week, lasting one semester, costs CHF 100.–) - Entrance Examination* CHF 150.-
*for applicants who do not hold a Professional Baccalaureate, Cantonal or State Baccalaureate, Sixth Form College Diploma, or Baccalaureate only - Additional costs depending on the specific degree program: see the page in the » German section of the website.
Notebook
All incoming students – excepting students in the bachelor’s degree programme Civil Engineering – must have a notebook computer/laptop, which must be provided by the student. The Schools specify the type and ZHW will assist students in acquiring the notebook computer.

The Virtual Privat Network (VPN) enables you to establish a secure access to the ZHW IT-infrastructure by internet. For the VPN-token a refundable deposit of CHF 50.- is charged.
